ChartGen AI is a specialist web product from Ada.im / Deep Analysis Pte. Ltd. for turning uploaded data or plain-language instructions into charts and related visual outputs. The current product sits below the broader Ada.im data-analysis platform: ChartGen focuses on fast chart, report, dashboard, diagram, Excel and PowerPoint generation, while higher-end workflows add broader data connections, automation, project management and enterprise controls.¹²

This is a desk review. AiToolMap did not upload a dataset, generate a chart, buy credits or validate exported files itself. Under methodology v1.8, all 50 mandatory panel sources were audited individually. Most produced no exact-current-product material; several were inaccessible; one exact current G2 page provided a very small user-review sample. Old or similarly named “ChartGen” products were explicitly excluded rather than merged into the evidence base.

The core workflow is designed to remove configuration work. ChartGen’s current site says users can create professional visualizations without design skills, starting from uploaded data and plain-language requests. The broader pricing matrix shows support for charts, reports, webpages, dashboards, diagrams, Excel and PowerPoint outputs across the plan range.¹²

The current Free tier supports one data source, files under 100 MB, basic web search, all listed generation types, up to eight PowerPoint pages, AI-native editing, 100 MB of storage and 30 days of history. Paid tiers increase the number of data sources, concurrency, storage, history and presentation limits; higher tiers add cross-source analysis, scheduled tasks, batch generation, project isolation, audit logs and API access.²

ChartGen’s own recent product guidance is more measured than some of its marketing language. It says the tool is well suited to repeated reporting and quick presentation graphics, but users should verify fields, calculations and chart choice. It also acknowledges that specialized statistical models, code-level control and precise brand/layout requirements may still call for programming environments or professional design tools.⁴

That caveat aligns with the independent G2 complaints. The product’s strength appears to be getting from raw data to a polished first draft quickly; its weaker area is fine-grained control compared with full BI or manual visualization software.³⁴

ChartGen has a real free tier and does not require a credit card to start. The current pricing page lists Starter at a $10 reference monthly price, Growth at $25, Plus at $50 and Pro at $100, while also displaying a 50%-off first-month promotion at the time of review. Growth includes a seven-day free trial. The plans provide 1,000, 3,000, 7,000 and 16,000 monthly credits respectively.²

The free tier is meaningful rather than purely demonstrative: one data source, under-100MB files, multiple output types and up to eight PPT pages are enough to test whether the workflow fits. Paid value rises mainly through more sources, export/control features, concurrency, storage and advanced workflow capacity rather than through a clearly documented “better model” upgrade.²

For users who only need occasional business charts, the free tier is the strongest part of the proposition. For teams approaching the Pro price point, the comparison shifts from “cheap chart generator” toward whether ChartGen/Ada.im can replace enough manual reporting or BI work to justify the subscription.

ChartGen’s privacy policy was last updated January 16, 2026. It identifies Deep Analysis Pte. Ltd. as controller for European users and says the service may collect account data, uploaded/generated content, prompts, files, device and interaction metadata, billing data and other information needed to operate the service.⁷

The policy says parts of ChartGen rely on third-party AI service partners and that user inputs may be transmitted to those providers for processing. It also states that ChartGen does not use personal information to develop, train or refine AI or machine-learning models.⁷

Security representations include encryption, access controls and regular security audits. Product pages additionally claim SOC 2 compliance and encrypted transmission. Those are vendor representations in the evidence available here; AiToolMap did not independently inspect a SOC 2 report or run a security test.¹⁷

The privacy policy also describes a cloud-browser feature that, with consent, can encrypt and store cookies/local storage to maintain login state. That is a materially higher-permission surface than simple chart upload and should be evaluated separately by organizations connecting authenticated systems.⁷

ChartGen’s Terms are appropriately explicit about AI limitations: generated output may be inaccurate, users must independently review it and responsibility for decisions remains with the user.⁸ This is especially important for charts, where a visually polished result can still encode the wrong aggregation, field or interpretation.

There is not enough independent evidence to make a strong current claim about chart correctness, statistical reliability or failure rates. The available G2 reviews are positive on speed and appearance, but they are not controlled tests and the sample is three.³

The official guidance itself tells users to verify fields, calculations and chart type. AiToolMap treats that as the correct operating assumption: ChartGen is best understood as an accelerator for producing and iterating visualizations, not as a substitute for validating the underlying analysis.⁴

No current exact-product benchmark in the 50-source panel measures whether ChartGen chooses the right aggregation, preserves units, avoids misleading chart types or handles messy datasets consistently. Those questions remain open until stronger controlled testing exists.

ChartGen AI is a plausible fit for business users who already work in Excel or CSV files and want a faster path to clean visuals. It is particularly attractive for ad-hoc reporting, slide preparation, marketing analytics, student work and situations where learning Tableau/Power BI would be disproportionate to the task.

Users needing precise branding, complex statistical logic, governed semantic layers, highly interactive BI deployments or deep customization should compare it with the broader Ada.im platform and established BI tools rather than expecting the specialist ChartGen surface to replace them outright.²⁴
