Rather than replacing the underlying ERP with a proprietary suite, Somatis says it evaluates supported open-source systems such as Odoo and ERPNext against a company’s requirements, deploys the selected software on customer-controlled infrastructure and then layers AI agents around the resulting system.\n\nThe product’s main differentiator is governance. Afferentis says agent actions that touch business data are authorized against policy rules, executed with least-privilege access and recorded in an audit trail, while higher-impact actions such as financial postings, deletions and permission changes require human approval.
