GitHub’s Sep 23 2026 changelog reports that Copilot code review has been updated with new configuration capabilities that are now generally available. A dedicated personal settings page lets users enable automatic reviews for pull‑request creation, co‑authoring, draft‑to‑ready transitions, and new pushes, and to choose a default review effort (Lite or Balanced). The personal settings page is now included on every Copilot plan, including Copilot Business and Copilot Enterprise, whereas previously it was limited to Copilot Pro, Pro+, and Max. In addition, enterprise administrators can set a default review effort (Lite, Balanced, or the GitHub default) that applies to all organization‑owned repositories, with the option for repositories or teams to override the setting. These changes expand the configurability of Copilot’s AI‑assisted code reviews for both individual developers and large organizations.
