GitHub has expanded Copilot across issue handling and agent automation in its September 10 weekly release. The Copilot app can now bring Jira issues into a shared canvas and carry that context into investigation, implementation and pull-request preparation.

In Visual Studio Code 1.137, Copilot can schedule recurring agent tasks to run hourly, daily or weekly, or run them on demand, in public preview. The same release also adds experimental voice mode and issue/pull-request review inside the Agents window.

GitHub also highlighted Project HydraFusion in Copilot CLI and expanded managed sandbox controls for JetBrains. AiToolMap is treating the Jira workflow and recurring VS Code agent tasks as the distinct editorial update here; HydraFusion and JetBrains controls have already been covered separately in the catalog.
