Vercel has added GitHub Copilot to the AI SDK harness layer through the official @ai-sdk/harness-github-copilot adapter. The integration lets applications invoke Copilot through the same HarnessAgent interface used for other supported coding-agent harnesses.
According to Vercel, the adapter connects GitHub Copilot through the Agent Client Protocol layer. The practical effect is portability at the orchestration layer: developers can switch among supported coding-agent harnesses without rewriting the application around a different agent interface.
For AiToolMap, this is an integration update rather than a new GitHub Copilot capability or model release. It expands where Copilot can be orchestrated and compared alongside other coding agents; it does not change Copilot pricing, model availability or its native GitHub feature set.
