GitHub has expanded Copilot usage metrics to cover the dedicated VS Code Agents window, giving enterprise and organization administrators a separate view of agent adoption and engagement.

Aggregate one-day and 28-day reports can now include daily active VS Code Agent users together with session counts and total user messages. User-level reports can also indicate whether a person used the VS Code Agents window and report that user's session and message totals.

GitHub explicitly separates these fields from editor-window Agent Mode and from generic Copilot usage rollups. Access follows the existing Copilot metrics permissions and requires the metrics policy to be enabled.

For AiToolMap, this is a useful but minor GitHub Copilot update: it improves administrator observability rather than changing the agent's underlying capabilities. It does not by itself warrant a new rating cycle.
