LexisNexis is expanding Lexis+ with Protégé into a more continuous legal workflow. A user can describe a matter or task and keep the same context as the system moves between research, analysis, drafting and review.
Behind the interface, Protégé can route work among different models, agents, skills and selected sources. LexisNexis also says it can combine its own legal content with customer documents and organizational knowledge, while retaining Shepard’s citation tools and enterprise controls.
The practical change is workflow consolidation. Instead of treating research, drafting and review as separate AI experiences, LexisNexis is trying to make them stages of one matter-level process. The announcement does not by itself establish output quality, but it materially changes how the product is intended to be used.
