Vercel has added Ling 3.0 Flash Sante, a health- and medicine-specialized language model from inclusionAI, to its AI Gateway. The model is free to call through October 4 under Vercel’s launch promotion, after which the normal model ID begins billing while a separate “free” ID stops serving instead of silently converting to paid usage.\n\nThe model is a specialized variant of Ling 3.0 Flash. Vercel describes it as a mixture-of-experts system with 124 billion total parameters and roughly 5.1 billion active parameters per token, a 256K-token context window and function calling. Its intended developer use cases include medical knowledge reasoning, professional healthcare tasks, deep research, evidence-based retrieval and multi-step workflows.\n\nThat positioning requires a stronger evidence caveat than an ordinary coding or creative model. A healthcare-focused benchmark or product description does not establish clinical safety, diagnostic validity or suitability for autonomous patient-facing decisions. Vercel’s gateway provides access and usage controls; it does not convert the model into a regulated clinical product. Developers still need task-specific validation, human review and the legal/compliance controls appropriate to the data and decision being handled.\n\nThe gateway launch is nevertheless operationally useful. Vercel exposes the model through its standard AI SDK and API-compatible surfaces, which makes it easier for teams already using the gateway to test a specialist model without adding another provider integration. The current model page also exposes uptime/status information and a stable gateway identifier, while the temporary free period reduces the cost of evaluation.\n\nThe underlying Ling 3.0 family is publicly documented and the base/post-trained Flash model has open model weights under MIT on Hugging Face. AiToolMap has not yet verified whether the Sante specialization itself has an equivalent downloadable-weight/license surface or is currently only exposed through hosted providers. That distinction matters for any future claim about openness, privacy or self-hosting.\n\nFor AiToolMap, Ling 3.0 Flash Sante is a credible model/tool candidate but belongs in a higher-scrutiny health-AI review path. Canonical research should verify the Sante model’s primary model card, license and training/evaluation documentation, provider pricing after October 4, data-handling terms and any independent medical benchmark evidence before it receives a rating.

Vercel adds Ling 3.0 Flash Sante, a medical-specialized model, to AI Gateway for free
Vercel has added inclusionAI’s Ling 3.0 Flash Sante to AI Gateway and is waiving model charges through October 4. The 124B-parameter MoE is specialized for medical reasoning, evidence retrieval and multi-step healthcare workflows, but availability on a developer gateway is not clinical validation and should not be interpreted as approval for diagnosis or autonomous medical decisions.
