Mastra moved Factory into beta on September 8, expanding its agent-powered software-delivery environment for taking work from issue intake through planning, implementation and pull-request review. The open-source product connects GitHub, Linear and Slack to configurable boards whose stages can run manually or automatically.
Each work item opens an agent session with chat, tool activity and workspace files. Agents operate in sandboxed environments, while users can inspect diffs, join discussions, approve actions and steer running work through signals without restarting the session. Factory supports both local and cloud execution, with remote sandboxes available even when the application itself runs locally.
Mastra says it built Factory for its own development process and currently attributes 25–35% of its pull requests and 50–60% of closed issues to the system. Those figures are vendor-reported operational metrics rather than independent benchmarks, but they indicate the scale at which Mastra says it is using the product internally.
The beta matters because Factory is moving beyond a single coding-agent interface toward a governed delivery system with persistent sessions, explicit stage gates and shared team workflows. Mastra’s current product page also lists a free Starter tier, a $250-per-month Teams tier and custom Enterprise pricing.
