MiniMax announced on May 27, 2026 that the upgraded MiniMax Agent had been renamed Mavis, short for “MiniMax as a Jarvis.” The release also introduced Agent Teams, allowing multiple role-specific agents to work in parallel and collaborate on complex, long-running tasks.
MiniMax also merged its Token Plan and Agent Plan so one subscription can span Agent, CLI and API usage across its supported model and media surfaces. Mavis is therefore a major evolution of the existing MiniMax Agent rather than a separate unrelated product.
