MiniMax has renamed its upgraded general-purpose Agent to Mavis, short for “MiniMax as a Jarvis.” The change came with a larger update to how the product handles complex tasks.
The most notable addition is Agent Teams. Instead of one agent working through every step sequentially, multiple role-specific agents can operate in parallel and collaborate on longer jobs.
MiniMax also merged its Token Plan and Agent Plan, so one subscription can cover Agent, CLI and API usage across supported model and media products. Mavis is therefore an evolution of MiniMax Agent rather than a separate product.
