Tencent announced on July 6, 2026 that Yuanbao had added an Agent function alongside the rollout of Hy3. Users can describe a task conversationally and have Yuanbao execute complex work rather than only answer questions.
Tencent says the Agent function can generate files including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, PDF and HTML and is intended for everyday workplace tasks. The update materially expands Yuanbao beyond its earlier chatbot and search-assistant role.
