Tencent has added an Agent function to Yuanbao, moving the product beyond question answering and search into task execution.
Users can describe a job in natural language and ask Yuanbao to carry it through. Tencent says the agent can produce common office outputs including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, PDF and HTML files.
The update gives Yuanbao a more direct workplace role: the assistant is being positioned not only as a place to ask questions, but as a system that can complete multi-step office tasks and return a finished artifact.
