Clears review

Updated 2026-09-05

Product & capabilities

Clears is an autonomous software-delivery platform organized around complete story execution rather than isolated code suggestions. A story is analyzed, clarified through Q&A, decomposed into subtasks, implemented in connected repositories and surfaced as pull or merge requests for human review. The current product also coordinates multiple agentic workflows across analysis, approval, implementation, validation and PR analysis, and maintains global, repository and session memory so later runs can reuse codebase conventions and prior decisions. MCP gives external clients a standardized way to search tasks, manage issues, read pull requests and trigger workflows. 1234

Pricing & access

The current public site offers a free trial and demo, but does not publish a stable numeric paid price. AiToolMap therefore records trial availability and leaves paid pricing unknown rather than inferring a subscription amount from secondary pages or plan seat limits. A version-control provider is required for execution; Jira is optional because teams can also use the standalone Clears board, while Slack is optional for notifications and Q&A. 15

Evidence & trust

Clears states that it is SOC 2 Type II compliant and that data is processed and stored in a private AWS VPC with encryption in transit and at rest, MFA, access controls, monitoring, dependency/code scanning and penetration testing. These are current first-party security claims; the underlying independent attestation was not inspected in this review. The fixed evidence panel did not surface an exact independent product test or eligible user-rating corpus. Product Hunt independently corroborates that the current product launched publicly in 2026 as an agentic software-delivery platform, but its page has no reviews and launch votes are not product-quality evidence. 67

Who it's for

Clears is best for engineering leaders and platform/R&D teams that already have structured backlogs and repositories and want to automate more of the coordination around coding. It fits teams using GitHub, GitLab or Bitbucket, with optional Jira and Slack, and teams that want external AI clients to access delivery workflows through MCP. It is less compelling for solo developers who only need an IDE assistant, teams without mature repository/review practices, or buyers that require transparent self-serve pricing before evaluation. 153

Strengths & weaknesses

Strengths

The strongest feature is workflow breadth: Clears connects requirements, Q&A, decomposition, code execution, validation, VCS activity and review instead of stopping at code generation. Its context layer and MCP surface also make the system more composable than a closed coding agent. The main

Weaknesses

evidence and commercial transparency. Public claims about throughput and autonomous delivery are not yet supported by an independent benchmark in the current corpus, and paid pricing requires engagement with the vendor. Buyers should therefore evaluate Clears against their own backlog quality, review burden and deployment controls rather than extrapolating from vendor testimonials or launch traction. 1247
