Mobile app that turns Instagram Reels into structured, searchable notes such as recipes, travel tips and tutorials.
Clera is a mobile utility for turning Instagram Reels and carousel posts into structured, searchable notes. The capture workflow lives in the Instagram share sheet: users share a Reel to Clera and receive content-type-aware output such as recipe ingredients and methods, travel places and tips, workout sets and reps, DIY materials and instructions, or ordered tutorial steps.123 The current Android description says Clera processes both audio and on-screen content, while carousel capture can collect multiple images.3
Clera is intentionally narrow. The official site says instructional content is the strongest fit; entertainment, news or drama may process, but structured extraction adds less value. That focused positioning is more credible than presenting Clera as a universal social-video summarizer.1
The public pricing surface is transitional. Clera's website still describes iOS and Android as free during beta and says a paid tier will arrive at v1, while the current mobile-store surface shows the product has moved beyond the earliest beta stage.123 The public sources reviewed do not expose a stable cross-platform numeric subscription table, so no monthly price is inferred and value-for-money remains unscored.
The exact product is independently corroborated by both major mobile stores. Apple lists Clera by Nachman Boguslavski and describes the same Reel-to-structured-note workflow; Google Play lists Clera by NBogus with the matching Android package and workflow.23 Neither store currently provides a review sample large enough for a stable numeric quality input, so the review does not convert sparse adoption into a score.
Privacy disclosures need careful interpretation. The website uses broad privacy-oriented language, while Google Play says the app may share app activity and app/performance information, may collect device or other identifiers, encrypts data in transit and currently states that data cannot be deleted.13 AlternativeTo corroborates the product's category and core workflow, but is directory-level evidence rather than a controlled quality test.4
The reviewed source set found only the Apple and Google Play exact-product surfaces; Bloomberg and CNET were inaccessible and the remaining reviewed sources produced no relevant exact-product result. Missing evidence is treated as unknown, not as poor performance.
Clera is best for heavy Instagram savers who repeatedly collect actionable content—recipes, workouts, travel recommendations, DIY instructions or tutorials—and later struggle to retrieve it. The mobile share-sheet workflow is the main usability advantage because capture happens where the content is already being consumed.23
It is a weaker fit for users who mostly save entertainment or commentary, and for teams that require proven extraction accuracy, mature export/integration options, enterprise controls or a large independent user-review corpus.
content-type-aware extraction, direct Instagram sharing, searchable retrieval, support for multiple instructional formats and a clear narrow use case.123
early-stage adoption, no stable ratings corpus, no independent benchmark of extraction accuracy, inconsistent public pricing language and privacy disclosures that are more nuanced than the simplest marketing wording. Clera solves a real retrieval problem, but it remains an early product rather than a proven personal-knowledge platform.
