Draftly review

Updated 2026-09-05

Product & capabilities

Draftly Agentic Builder v2 is a web-based AI website builder focused on cinematic, scroll-driven sites rather than generic static landing pages. From a prompt or preset, the product generates a hero/keyframe image, motion video, hundreds of scroll-synced frames and a multi-section responsive site, then lets the user edit visually or through chat, publish to a Draftly/custom domain, or export production code on qualifying plans. The core scroll effect uses pre-rendered frame sequences and native browser scrolling rather than requiring WebGL or Three.js expertise. Draftly also exposes custom domains, lead capture/business tooling, media upscaling, BYOK/connectors on higher tiers and API access on Pro and above. 12

Pricing & access

Draftly uses subscriptions plus usage credits. The current English pricing page separates list price from the effective annual-billing price: Basic $25 list / $20 per month billed annually; Basic Plus $40 / $32 annualized; Pro $60 / $48 annualized; Premium $200 / $160 annualized; Enterprise is custom. Top-up packs add 1,000 credits for $20, 3,000 for $50 or 7,000 for $100. Every paid plan includes five live sites and 25 GB monthly bandwidth, with extra sites at $5/month and overage charged in credits. A two-day one-build trial requires a card. Pro and Premium add cloud project saving and ZIP export, while API access is documented for Pro and above. 2

Evidence & trust

The current first-party documentation is unusually specific for a young builder. Draftly publishes privacy, terms and a DPA covering submitted content, billing/account data, EEA/UK/US rights, encryption in transit, AES-256 at rest on GCP/Firestore, role-based and least-privilege access, MFA for internal systems and international-transfer mechanisms. These are vendor disclosures rather than an independently audited security certification. The fixed 50-source panel produced no exact-product rating, controlled performance test or strong mainstream editorial review, so vendor claims such as build speed, sites built and average build rating are not treated as independent evidence. 23

A more important current signal comes from AppSumo outside the canonical panel. AppSumo paused the Draftly campaign on September 1 after user feedback about issues, and the current profile displays a 1.0/5 aggregate from four ratings. One verified purchaser reported that site generation failed despite producing attractive video output; the Draftly team replied that it had fixed a bug in the new release and asked the user to retry. Founder/team Q&A also says an internal audit was underway. Because AppSumo is not in AiToolMap's fixed rating panel, these figures are not inserted into the external numeric equation, but they materially lower the desk assessment of maturity and reliability. 45

Who it's for

Draftly is best for designers, founders, marketers, freelancers and small agencies that want a visually differentiated product/brand microsite, launch page or portfolio without building a custom Three.js stack. It is particularly attractive when cinematic motion is central to the brief and the user wants downloadable code or a custom domain rather than permanent lock-in. It is a weaker fit for complex e-commerce or application-heavy sites, teams that need mature reliability guarantees, or buyers who do not want a credit-based generation budget and higher-tier gating around cloud save, ZIP export and API access. 124

Strengths & weaknesses

Strengths

Draftly's strongest point is product focus: it combines AI-generated image/video media, a frame-based scroll engine, editable site sections, hosting and export in a workflow aimed specifically at cinematic websites. Its pricing and plan limits are transparent, legal/data-processing documentation is reasonably concrete, and the export path reduces platform lock-in. The weakness is that the product still looks launch-stage in practice. Recent AppSumo purchaser failures and the campaign pause are stronger reliability evidence than reputation scanners or vendor build counts, and no independent controlled test establishes current generation success rate, page performance or code quality across a broad sample. Draftly is therefore promising and distinctive, but it should be trialed on a real project before being used for time-critical client delivery. 1245
