Frigade now spans two related AI surfaces. Its full Assistant learns a customer product by navigating real workflows, combines that living product model with existing knowledge sources, and can answer questions, guide users through interfaces, fill forms, navigate screens and hand off to human support. The Assist API, launched September 8, 2026 1, exposes that product expertise to an agent a customer already built: Frigade is registered as a tool call, while the customer agent retains its own reasoning and voice. 23
Frigade says Assist API works with the Vercel AI SDK today and is framework-agnostic when an agent can call tools. The broader Assistant also supports proactive suggestions, shareable guidance links and approved user-scoped actions through Skills. These are documented capabilities, not AiToolMap hands-on findings. 24
Pricing & access
Current public pricing starts with Growth at $1,000 per month, including five seats, two agents and 2,500 queries with scale discounts. Enterprise pricing is custom and is positioned for advanced security, compliance, integrations or self-hosting. 5
The entry price is high relative to lightweight onboarding widgets or generic help-center chatbots, so value depends on whether automated product learning and guided execution materially reduce ongoing support and onboarding work. AiToolMap did not independently validate ROI or support-ticket reduction claims.
Evidence & trust
Frigade publishes first-party security claims including SOC 2 Type II, GDPR compliance, TLS 1.2+ in transit, AES-256 at rest, EU data residency, zero-retention LLM policies, PII scrubbing and user-permission-scoped guidance. Self-hosting with customer LLM keys is also offered. AiToolMap treats these as vendor disclosures rather than independent security certification evidence. 25
Independent current-surface evidence remains limited. Capterra has a current Frigade AI product listing and corroborates the $1,000 starting price, but shows zero user reviews. G2 currently shows Frigade at 4.8/5 from 24 reviews; at least one validated August 26 review discusses modern in-product AI help, but the corpus also reflects Frigade's broader historical onboarding/adoption platform. Because Assist API launched only on September 8, the G2 aggregate is used qualitatively and is not applied as a numeric rating input. 67
No AiToolMap hands-on testing was performed.
Who it's for
Frigade is most relevant to SaaS product teams that need in-product support and adoption to stay synchronized with frequent UI changes. Assist API is particularly interesting when a company already has an agent and wants to add product-grounded guidance without replacing the agent's reasoning layer. 2
It is less suitable for very small products with low support volume, teams seeking a low-cost onboarding widget, or buyers who require independent evidence of Assist API reliability before purchase.
Strengths & weaknesses
Strengths
unusual product-learning approach; integration into an existing agent rather than mandatory replacement; guided actions and navigation; automatic relearning as products change; user-permission boundaries; managed and self-hosted deployment options; clear current pricing; broader Frigade product has some verified user adoption. 257
Weaknesses
Assist API is brand new; independent exact-surface reviews and benchmarks are absent; security and accuracy claims are predominantly first-party; $1,000/month entry pricing is substantial; broader Frigade user-review aggregates cannot be cleanly imputed to Assist API.
