HyperProbe review

Updated 2026-09-07

Product & capabilities

HyperProbe is an AI-assisted production-debugging and on-call layer. Its SDK and coding-agent/MCP workflow can place read-only, non-blocking virtual probes at suspect lines in running services, capture exact variable state on real traffic and feed that evidence back into root-cause analysis without a code redeploy or process restart.1

The current workflow can start from PagerDuty, Datadog or Slack alerts, use logs/traces to identify a suspect code path, place a probe and confirm a diagnosis against captured state. Supported runtime languages currently include JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, Python and Ruby; coding-agent examples include Cursor, Claude Code, Codex and Opencode.1

This is materially different from log-analysis tools that only reason over telemetry already collected. The value proposition is strongest when the missing piece is a transient in-memory value that was never logged.

Pricing & access

Free is $0 forever for one managed-cloud service with unlimited probes and captures. Professional is $99 per service per month, or $79 billed annually, with a three-service minimum and 30-day capture history/shared workspace. Enterprise is custom-priced and adds self-host/private VPC, RBAC, approval gates and custom PII redaction.1

There are no seat or capture-count charges in the current published pricing. That makes cost straightforward for small service counts, though the Professional three-service minimum materially raises the practical entry cost for production teams.

Evidence & trust

HyperProbe states that probes are read-only and cannot write memory or execute code, that probe activity is kept in an immutable audit trail, and that probes can remain approval-gated until a team increases trust.1 The product also states that PII is redacted at the agent before capture and that Enterprise can run self-hosted or in a private VPC.1

Those controls are important because runtime variable capture can expose secrets, personal data and business-sensitive state that ordinary logs intentionally avoid. Teams should define probe approval, observable-variable policy and retention before broad production rollout rather than relying only on the read-only guarantee.

HyperProbe publishes claims such as less than 1% overhead at 3,000 RPS and reducing multi-hour investigations to under ten minutes. These are vendor performance claims and are not imported into AiToolMap's external rating input.1

Y Combinator independently confirms the S26 company/product identity and the runtime-probe/on-call positioning, but repeats company-supplied performance/security claims and therefore is not treated as an independent benchmark.2

The fixed 50-source panel found no current exact-product professional review, user-rating signal or independent benchmark. Four panel domains were inaccessible through the lawful crawler path and were not bypassed. Confidence remains LOW.

Who it's for

HyperProbe best fits backend, SRE and platform teams whose hardest incidents cannot be reproduced locally and where existing logs/traces do not contain the state needed to prove root cause. It also assumes that coding agents already play a meaningful role in debugging or on-call workflows.1

It is less suitable for teams unwilling to install runtime instrumentation, stacks outside the supported language set, or organizations whose security policy forbids dynamic runtime state capture without extensive controls.

Strengths & weaknesses

Strengths

a differentiated evidence-acquisition workflow, no-redeploy probes, direct coding-agent integration, clear per-service pricing and meaningful Enterprise controls such as private-VPC/self-hosting, RBAC and approval gates.1

Weaknesses

extreme product youth, absence of independent reliability/performance evidence and the inherently sensitive nature of live memory-state capture. AiToolMap therefore gives the concept and workflow strong desk marks while withholding high confidence until independent production evidence accumulates.
