InterviewCue AI review

Updated 2026-09-05

Product & capabilities

InterviewCue AI is an interview-preparation platform that carries candidate context across three stages: analyze, practice and perform. It combines resume/JD matching and readiness analysis, role-specific question preparation, adaptive mock interviews and a real-time Interview Copilot. The current Copilot works on the web; the desktop app adds a stealth mode. Inputs can include a resume, target role, job description, answers, prompts, recordings and uploaded files, while outputs include ATS/readiness feedback, likely follow-up areas, personalized questions, mock-interview feedback and concise live talking points. The product is aimed primarily at software and internet-industry roles spanning engineering, product, data, machine learning, marketing, operations and leadership formats. 12

Pricing & access

InterviewCue confirms a free/limited allowance and paid subscription access, including limited real-time use, but its current public pages do not expose one stable numeric paid price. The Terms state that price, billing period, currency, taxes and usage limits are shown at checkout or in the user account. AiToolMap therefore does not normalize conflicting third-party $39/$59.99/$16.99 figures. The current access surface is broader than the earlier desktop-only description: preparation and Copilot workflows can run on the web, while the desktop app adds additional stealth behavior. 13

Evidence & trust

The evidence base is strong on documented boundaries and weak on independent outcome validation. InterviewCue now publishes current Terms, Trust & Security, Disclaimer and public product facts. The operator identifies itself as CLEVERGUARD TECHNOLOGY CO., LIMITED; it says user resumes, answers, recordings and transcripts are not used to train InterviewCue or third-party AI models, supports access/correction/deletion requests, and describes reasonable administrative, technical and organizational safeguards. Those are first-party assurances rather than independently audited security certifications. The fixed 50-source review panel produced no exact-product external rating or controlled test, so claims about interview improvement, answer quality or hiring outcomes are not independently validated. 2345

Safety & Trust

Real-time interview assistance is integrity-sensitive. InterviewCue's own Terms prohibit misrepresentation of identity, qualifications, skills, education or experience and require users to follow any employer, school, assessment-provider or interview-platform restriction on outside assistance. Its Disclaimer also tells users to obtain any required consent before recording or transcribing other people and not to upload confidential employer information or proprietary questions. These are meaningful controls. They do not make stealth use universally acceptable: if outside assistance, recording or transcription is prohibited or unclear, the user should not treat the desktop stealth feature as permission. 34

Who it's for

InterviewCue is best for candidates who want preparation to remain connected to their actual resume, role and job description rather than using generic question lists. It is particularly relevant to software/technology candidates practicing behavioral, coding, system-design, product, data and leadership interviews. The live Copilot can be useful when an interviewer explicitly permits outside assistance. It is a poor fit for candidates seeking a tool to conceal prohibited help, invent experience or bypass assessment rules, and for buyers who require independently benchmarked coaching quality or transparent public subscription pricing before signup. 134

Strengths & weaknesses

Strengths

The strongest feature is continuity: resume analysis feeds practice, practice context can feed live cues, and the web plus desktop surfaces support both preparation and permitted performance assistance. The current policy set is also clearer than many small AI career tools about model training, retention, misrepresentation and interview rules. The main

Weaknesses

evidence and price transparency. No canonical-panel source independently tests the exact product, and numeric paid pricing remains hidden until checkout/account. The desktop stealth mode is technically useful but raises the misuse risk around employer/interviewer rules, so it should be treated as a conditional feature rather than an unconditional advantage. 1234
