MuleRun review

Updated 2026-08-28

Product & capabilities

MuleRun is an always-on agent platform built around a personal cloud computer rather than a conventional chat session. Its current documentation covers Super Agent, Computer, Pages, Drive, Knowledge, scheduled tasks, Toolbox, data sources and connectors. Paid personal plans unlock a dedicated VM, while Team and Enterprise add centralized members, permissions, shared credits, knowledge, files and integrations.12

The product is designed for persistent multi-step work: agents can keep files and state on the VM, execute scheduled workflows and continue after the user's own computer is offline. Product Hunt launch material describes the system as a self-evolving personal AI that learns habits and preferences, while the maker explicitly acknowledges that output-quality consistency across long-running workflows is still an active area of development.3

Enterprise connectors currently include services such as Salesforce, GitHub, Microsoft Teams, Slack, SharePoint, Tableau and SAP Concur, with member-scoped authorization rather than blanket access.2

Pricing & access

MuleRun uses credits rather than unlimited usage. Official billing documentation confirms Free, Plus, Pro and Super personal tiers, with Computer unavailable on Free and enabled on paid plans. Credits expire according to cycle rules and additional credits can be purchased.4

The current pricing page is bot-protected during automated retrieval, so exact individual prices were cross-checked against recent sources that explicitly verified the live pricing page in August 2026. Month-to-month pricing is $20 for Plus, $40 for Super and $200 for Pro; annual billing reduces the effective monthly prices to $16, $32 and $160 respectively. Plus currently includes about 2,000 monthly credits, Super about 4,500 and Pro about 23,000.5

Team pricing is directly stated in the current official docs at $20 per seat per month or $192 per seat per year, with a minimum of three seats.2

Evidence & trust

Independent evidence is still early but more substantial than a launch-page-only product. A June 2026 hands-on review by Matteo Morreale reports successful game and video-generation tests, while noting bugs, inconsistencies and unanswered questions around the product and its Alibaba relationship.6 Other hands-on reviews similarly describe strong always-on automation potential but still-early reliability.7

The official App Store listing is surface-matched to the core product and currently shows 5.0/5 from 8 ratings. The sample is too small to carry significant weight, but it corroborates current iOS availability and an 'always-on' agent positioning.8

Product Hunt confirms substantial launch interest and records MuleRun as #1 product of the day and #2 of its launch week in March 2026. Maker responses are unusually candid about cost spikes in generative workflows and the need for better pre-task estimates, spending limits and usage dashboards.3

Independent external coverage remains limited. The App Store is the only current exact-product rating surface identified, and its eight-rating sample is too small to carry significant weight. No substantial current review or benchmark corpus was found elsewhere, so confidence remains limited without treating missing coverage as negative evidence.

Who it's for

MuleRun is strongest for users who need an agent to continue working after a session ends: recurring research, monitoring, content pipelines, lightweight software work, e-commerce operations and orchestrated business workflows. It is particularly useful for people who want a persistent VM and agent environment without self-hosting one.

It is less suitable for workloads that require deterministic cost, formal uptime guarantees, independently benchmarked output quality or strict governance beyond what is publicly documented. Heavy production teams should treat the agent as an orchestration layer and validate its behavior against their own infrastructure and controls.

Strengths & weaknesses

Strengths

  • Dedicated always-on cloud computer on paid plans.4
  • Persistent files, scheduled workflows and broad agent tooling.1
  • Enterprise connector and permission model is more developed than many early agent products.2
  • Competitive annual entry price for a managed VM-backed agent.5
  • Early hands-on testing shows the platform can produce complete artifacts rather than only plans.6

Weaknesses

  • Long-running output consistency is explicitly still being improved.3
  • Credit consumption can be spiky and difficult to predict for generative workflows.34
  • Independent user-rating volume is very small outside launch/community surfaces.
  • Public legal and security documentation is less complete and accessible than the product help documentation, limiting confidence in detailed governance claims.
  • Dedicated cloud execution increases the importance of validating data retention, permissions and enterprise controls before sensitive use.

AI
Construct Computer
Construct Computer is a thoughtfully designed AI-employee workspace for small teams because it combines a persistent cloud computer, inspectable memory, background work, integrations, reusable workflows and agent-built internal apps. The limitation is not feature breadth but assurance: v2 is still in active development, public third-party evidence is thin, workflows remain structurally limited, and the agent can take external side effects without a mandatory per-action approval gate.

happycapy
Happycapy is a compelling browser-first agent workspace that removes much of the setup friction from running persistent AI agents, automations and coding/research workflows in an isolated cloud sandbox. Its current pricing is competitive and its Product Hunt reception is strong, but independent evidence remains concentrated in a small number of community surfaces and mobile functionality is not fully identical to the desktop agent-native computer.

Tycoon AI
Tycoon is an ambitious AI-manager layer for coordinating specialist agents across a small company. Its current product is more concrete than the launch slogan: it combines persistent company context, delegated task cards, approval boundaries, agent review, integrations and bring-your-own-agent support. Evidence outside first-party materials remains thin, so autonomy and quality claims should be treated cautiously.
