Free download/scan; Premium is one-time; matless cloud scans use credits. US App Store lists multiple Premium/Unlimited legacy-current SKUs plus 100 Cloud Credits at $9.99; exact canonical Premium SKU must be rechecked.

Qlone is an Apple-centric 3D scanning app for turning real-world objects into editable 3D models without requiring LiDAR. The core workflow supports guided mat-based capture, multi-angle merging, in-app mesh and texture cleanup, matless AR/Photo scanning through Qlone Cloud, and export to common formats including OBJ, STL, FBX, GLB, USDZ, PLY and X3D. The vendor also exposes direct sharing or downstream workflows for AR, 3D printing, Sketchfab, CGTrader and social/video outputs. Scanning itself is iOS-only; Mac, Apple Vision and Apple Watch surfaces are companion/viewer surfaces rather than equivalent capture clients. 12
Pricing & access
Qlone is free to download and scan, while exporting, AR animation, 4K scanning and matless cloud scanning require Premium. The current FAQ and App Store agree that Premium is a one-time purchase rather than a subscription and includes 50 cloud credits for 50 matless scans, with additional credits sold separately. The US App Store still lists several rows labelled Premium Features at $19.99, $15.99 and $29.99, alongside Unlimited Exports $19.99, Unlimited Premium $11.99 and 100 Cloud Credits $9.99. Because the public storefront does not map those duplicate/legacy labels to one unambiguous current Premium upgrade, AiToolMap does not choose a single Premium price. 12
Evidence & trust
The current exact-product user signal is mixed rather than poor: the US App Store shows 3.9/5 from about 1.6K ratings. Positive reviews describe usable scans when lighting, the tracking mat and capture setup are controlled; negative reviews criticize output consistency, the learning curve and export/premium gating. That is useful real-user evidence but not a controlled benchmark of dimensional or reconstruction accuracy. The only G2 rating is a single 2019 review at 3.0/5, so it is retained only as historical qualitative context and receives effectively zero numeric influence. TechCrunch's 2021 Object Capture coverage confirms Qlone's historical role in Apple's phone-to-3D workflow, but it does not test today's Qlone output quality. 234
For privacy, Qlone says mat-based processing happens locally on-device, while matless scans are processed in Qlone Cloud; the vendor states it does not store or view those models. Apple separately discloses that coarse location and product-interaction usage data may be collected for analytics. No independent enterprise security certification or formal assurance program was verified for this consumer/prosumer product. 12
Who it's for
Qlone is best for makers, educators, 3D-printing users, designers and AR/e-commerce creators who want a relatively accessible phone-first capture path and broad export compatibility without buying a dedicated scanner. It fits especially well when the user already works on Apple devices and values a one-time upgrade rather than another recurring subscription. It is less suitable for Android-first users, teams needing independently validated measurement accuracy, or procurement processes that require enterprise security documentation and transparent SKU-level pricing before purchase. 12
Strengths & weaknesses
Strengths
Qlone's strengths are longevity, breadth and workflow completeness: capture, merge, edit, retouch, export, AR and 3D-print paths are available in one mobile product, LiDAR is not mandatory, and Premium is structurally a one-time upgrade. The main
Weaknesses
consistency and transparency. A 3.9/5 App Store aggregate points to meaningful but uneven satisfaction, public Premium SKU labels remain ambiguous, and the fixed 50-source panel found little current independent evidence beyond the App Store. Qlone is therefore a credible practical scanner for Apple-centric creative workflows, but users who depend on repeatable professional geometry should validate it against their own objects and tolerances before standardizing on it. 123

Independent foundational Qlone tutorial covering the app technology, required scanning tools and material suitability. Older UI, but the core mat/scanning workflow remains aligned with the current official FAQ; use as workflow background, not a current-feature tour.
Independent setup tutorial focused on sizing the Qlone mat and preparing the scanning environment. Historical UI, but directly relevant to the mat-based workflow still documented by Qlone.
Independent hands-on scanning walkthrough. The interface is older, but the mat-guided scanning method is still part of Qlone's current documented workflow.
