What it does
Rankly is a website visibility auditor covering technical SEO, answer-engine optimization (AEO) and generative-engine optimization (GEO). It fetches a public site server-side in read-only mode, inspects raw HTML, response headers, robots.txt, sitemap.xml and structured data, then calculates separate scores using deterministic rules. AI is optional and used to explain findings and prioritize remediation rather than generate the score itself. 12

Evidence & trust
Evidence limits
AiToolMap did not audit a controlled site set, compare Rankly with Search Console or third-party SEO suites, measure AI citations before and after fixes, or reproduce the security controls. No eligible exact-product G2, Capterra, TrustRadius or other fixed-panel numeric evidence was found. The resulting 8.1 rating is LOW-confidence and not rank eligible.
Safety & Trust
The read-only architecture limits direct site risk, but users should still treat recommendations as hypotheses to verify. SEO/GEO changes can alter indexing, schema, canonicalization and content semantics; high-impact changes should be reviewed against Search Console, analytics and actual SERP/AI-surface outcomes rather than implemented solely to maximize an audit score.
Strengths & weaknesses
Strengths
The strongest feature is explainability. Rankly's launch documentation describes roughly 40 deterministic checks and a weighted model of SEO 50%, AEO 25% and GEO 25%. Each deduction is tied to observable evidence and remediation rather than an opaque model judgment. That makes repeat audits easier to reason about and reduces the risk that a score changes because a generative model phrased the same page differently. 3
The privacy and access model is also unusually clean for a public auditor. The analyzer is read-only, performs server-side HTTP fetching, says it does not inject scripts, cookies or pixels into the target site, and gives a first audit without signup. A free account adds history, additional scans and shareable reports. 14
Separating SEO, AEO and GEO is useful because the failure modes differ: ordinary crawl/index problems, answer-friendly information architecture and AI-readable evidence are related but not identical. The methodology also documents SSRF protection and network isolation around public-site fetching. 23
Weaknesses
The central limitation is validation. A deterministic GEO or AEO readiness score is still a model of observables, not a measurement of whether ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews or other systems will actually cite or rank a site. AiToolMap found no independent study correlating Rankly scores with real citation share, search traffic or commercial outcomes.
Maturity is also very low: the public launch post is dated September 7, 2026. Nyxen's product page still contains an "Early Access" label and language about shaping the product before public launch, while the live analyzer and Sep-7 announcement show that public access is already available. That documentation inconsistency is minor but signals a fast-moving launch surface. 53
No paid numerical pricing was verified. The current public proposition is a free core, so future limits or commercial tiers may change the value calculation.
