AI tool listing.
Sim is an open-source workspace for building, deploying and managing AI agents and workflows. Teams can create systems visually, describe them conversationally or work through APIs/code, then connect models to operational tools and data. The current integration directory lists 237 apps and services exposing 4,053+ callable tools, including GitHub, Gmail, Slack, Salesforce, databases and developer infrastructure. 12
The recent platform expansion is material rather than cosmetic. Sim now documents integrations for private-market data sources including CB Insights, while the catalog also includes Bitbucket, Crunchbase and other developer/data systems. Knowledge-base connectors separately cover repositories and business content. This broadens Sim's usefulness for research, engineering and data-enrichment workflows without changing the core visual agent-builder model. 34
Self-hosting is a first-class deployment path. Sim documents Docker/Kubernetes deployment and the public repository exposes a standalone `npx simstudio` launcher; the Apache-2.0 repository remains publicly inspectable. Hosted deployments add logs, traces, schedules, persistent tables/files/knowledge and enterprise governance. 567
The current pricing page lists Free at $0 with 1,000 monthly credits, one workspace, 10 concurrent executions, 5 GB file storage and 30-day log retention. Pro is $25 per user/month with 6,000 monthly credits, a daily credit refresh, three workspaces, 50 concurrent executions, 50 GB storage and unlimited log retention. Max is $100 per user/month with 25,000 monthly credits, a larger daily refresh, unlimited workspaces, 200 concurrent executions and 500 GB storage. Enterprise is custom and adds access control, SSO, SOC 2 positioning, self-hosting and dedicated support. Annual billing is advertised at a 15% discount. 8
Sim's cost documentation defines credits as the usage accounting layer and separates platform/run charges from underlying model consumption. That makes spending inspectable, but it is still more complex than a flat automation subscription, especially for agent workflows with repeated model calls or high execution volume. 9
Independent exact-product coverage remains thin. A fresh 50-source panel audit again found one substantive current panel hit: TechCrunch's April 2026 report identifies Sim.ai/SimStudio as an open-source agent-building product and quotes Sim's founder in a third-party licensing dispute. That corroborates the product/company surface and real external use, but it does not test usability, reliability or agent quality. 10
Outside the fixed panel, Product Hunt provides a small exact-product user sample, while Y Combinator independently lists Sim and its developer adoption. Those sources are useful context but do not establish broad comparative quality. No eligible independent numeric rating source was found for the current product surface, so missing external coverage is not treated as a negative score. 1112
Transparency is comparatively strong for a young agent platform. The public repository is Apache-2.0, current first-party pages document pricing and deployment limits, and Sim publishes enterprise controls and a privacy policy covering uploaded/connected data. The privacy policy says Google API data is not used to train generalized AI/ML models and describes user deletion/access rights, but it was last updated in October 2025, so enterprise buyers should still verify current subprocessors, retention and contractual terms during procurement. 6713
Sim is best suited to technical product, operations, research and platform teams that want AI-native automation with strong observability and a path from visual prototyping to APIs or self-hosted deployment. Its expanding data and developer integrations make it more attractive for workflows that cross internal systems. It is less suitable for teams that want a minimal one-trigger/one-action automation tool or require large independent review populations before standardizing on a platform.
