Harvey announced on September 9 that it raised $550 million at a $15.5 billion valuation. The round was co-led by Diffusion and Lightspeed Venture Partners, with both existing and new investors participating. The financing follows Harvey’s $200 million round at an $11 billion valuation in March, marking another sharp step up in the legal AI company’s valuation.

Harvey says the capital will support its effort to help law firms, in-house teams and professional-services organizations build and own more of their AI intelligence. The company links the raise to recent work on a post-trained open-weight legal model and Harvey LAB, its benchmark for legal agents.

The adoption figures are also notable: Harvey says 80% of the Am Law 100 and five Fortune 10 companies now use its products. Reuters independently confirmed the size and valuation of the round, while TechCrunch reported that Harvey has raised more than $1.55 billion in total funding.

For AiToolMap, the significance is not a new end-user feature but the scale of capital now flowing into specialized legal AI. Harvey is increasingly competing not only on applications for lawyers, but also on models, evaluation infrastructure and enterprise deployment capabilities. The funding gives it substantially more capacity to pursue that broader platform strategy.
