Legora review

Updated 2026-09-01

Product & capabilities

Legora is an enterprise legal AI workspace rather than a single-purpose drafting assistant. The current aOS/product surface combines an AI Agent, legal research, document drafting and editing, tabular review, reusable workflows, a client/collaboration Portal, monitoring, Word and Outlook add-ins and mobile access. 1

That breadth matters because legal work rarely stays inside one prompt. A matter can move from research to evidence review, drafting, structured extraction, client collaboration and monitoring. Legora’s product design tries to keep those steps inside one legal-specific environment instead of forcing users to assemble a general chatbot, separate review tool and office add-ins. 1

The workflow surface is also expanding through integrations. LawNext independently reported an Everlaw-Legora integration intended to connect discovery material with drafting while preserving Everlaw permissions. At the time of that May report, availability was described as upcoming for mutual customers, so AiToolMap does not score it as universally live today without a current first-party release confirmation. 2

Legora also has current mobile distribution on Google Play, which supports the claim that the product is no longer confined to a browser/desktop workflow. The panel audit used that availability qualitatively because no current audited rating/sample was exposed on the accessible store surface. 3

Pricing & access

Legora is sales-led. The current public path is centered on demos and enterprise conversations, and AiToolMap did not verify a stable first-party monetary list price. No per-seat amount is invented or imported from stale third-party listings. 1

That makes value harder to compare directly with transparent $20–$30 self-serve legal assistants. The relevant enterprise comparison is broader: implementation, security review, matter/document volumes, workflows, integrations, support and organizational rollout may matter more than a single seat price.

The absence of public pricing is still a buyer friction. A firm can reasonably accept contract pricing for a governed legal platform, but it cannot independently estimate marginal adoption cost from the public site. That is why value-for-money scores below Legora’s capability and workflow scores even though the product surface is substantial.

Evidence & trust

Legora publishes a comparatively strong governance surface. Its security page states ISO 42001, ISO 27001, SOC 2 Type II and GDPR posture, describes zero-trust design and tiered storage, supports EU and U.S. regions, says customer confidential data are not used to train foundation models, and says engineer access to customer data for support requires written customer approval. These are first-party security/control claims and should still be verified through procurement evidence and contractual terms. 4

Its Acceptable Use Policy is unusually explicit about professional responsibility. The May 2026 policy says AI output may contain errors, inaccuracies or bias and requires human review, independent verification and professional judgment; outputs are not legal advice. That is the right risk framing for a legal-AI product and avoids implying that model output can substitute for a lawyer’s verification duties. 5

Independent numeric evidence is much thinner than the product’s market visibility. PeerSpot currently shows Legora at 8.6/10 from only two reviews. Rating v1.0 therefore gives it a very small sample weight: it is exact-product evidence, but it cannot materially validate the desk layer at N=2. 6

G2’s current seller surface contains useful Legora review context but mixes the current Legora profile with legacy Leya reviews in the displayed seller aggregate. AiToolMap uses the exact-product qualitative evidence but excludes that mixed aggregate from the numeric equation. 7

TechCrunch provides current independent business/product context around Legora’s rapid growth and competition in legal AI, but company valuation and funding are not product-quality scores. They support maturity/adoption context only. 8

Who it's for

Legora is best suited to larger law firms and in-house legal teams that want one governed environment for multiple legal workflows rather than a narrow clause or research tool. Research, drafting, document review, structured extraction, reusable workflows, office add-ins and collaboration all sit inside the same product family. 1

The product is particularly relevant where a firm wants organization-level rollout and security controls. The current security and policy documentation gives procurement teams concrete questions to verify around data residency, support access, model training, certifications and human-review obligations. 45

It is less suitable for individuals or small teams that primarily want a transparent, low-cost self-serve assistant. Without public pricing, the buying process is heavier and likely justified only when the wider workflow/governance surface matters.

Teams should also distinguish shipped integrations from announcements. The Everlaw connection is strategically useful for disputes and investigations, but buyers should verify current availability in their own environment rather than assume every announced workflow is already enabled. 2

Strengths & weaknesses

Strengths

Legora’s main strength is breadth without abandoning a legal-specific product identity. Agent work, research, drafting, tabular review, workflows, monitoring, Portal collaboration, Office integration and mobile distribution create a coherent enterprise surface rather than a collection of unrelated AI features. 13

A second strength is governance transparency. The security page and AUP provide clearer first-party boundaries than many newer legal-AI vendors, including explicit human verification, no-legal-advice language and stated controls around model training and support access. 45

The biggest weakness is independent evidence depth. The fixed 50-source panel found only one eligible exact numeric family, PeerSpot, and its sample is two. G2 is useful qualitatively but the displayed seller aggregate mixes Legora with legacy Leya. That means the 8.5 rating is driven overwhelmingly by the audited desk layer rather than a large independent user population. 67

Pricing is the other material weakness. The enterprise/demo model is normal for this category, but it prevents straightforward value comparison and makes implementation economics dependent on a quote. 1

Overall, Legora rates 8.5/10 because its current product, workflow and governance surfaces are unusually complete for a legal-AI platform. The rating remains LOW-confidence and not rank-eligible until independent exact-product numeric evidence becomes materially stronger.

Weaknesses
