Free: 0% platform fee for up to 1,000 settled requests/month. Pro: 5% platform fee, unlimited settled requests. Enterprise: 3% platform fee, custom terms; compute/storage/bandwidth included. Endpoints set their own per-request price and settle on-chain.
x402 Cloud packages the infrastructure needed to publish paid API endpoints around the x402 protocol. Developers can scaffold and deploy handlers through the Bankr CLI, while the platform handles hosting, x402 payment verification and settlement, agent discovery, request logs and dashboard management. Endpoints use USDC on Base by default and can be priced in other ERC-20 tokens. 123
The platform is deliberately narrower than a general serverless cloud: it is optimized around machine-payable endpoints and agent discovery. That focus is a strength when the product requirement is pay-per-request agent commerce, but it makes x402 Cloud less relevant for applications that do not need its payment/discovery layer. These are documented capabilities; AiToolMap did not perform a hands-on deployment.
Pricing & access
The current pricing model has no monthly subscription or minimum. Bankr charges 0% on the first 1,000 successful settled requests per month, 5% on Pro usage after that threshold, and 3% on Enterprise with custom terms. Compute, 256 MB memory per service, bundle storage, encrypted environment variables, bandwidth and 90-day request logs are included rather than billed separately. 4
That structure makes experimentation inexpensive and aligns Bankr's revenue with successful paid usage. The percentage fee can become material at scale, although Enterprise lowers it and adds options such as SLAs, priority support, custom domains and dedicated infrastructure. Value therefore depends on how much engineering and operational work the bundled payment, hosting and discovery stack replaces.
Evidence & trust
Bankr documents service-level isolation, encrypted and scoped environment variables, bounded execution resources, authenticated management operations, TLS 1.2+, gateway rate limits and settle-after-success behavior. It also states that payment authorization is checked for signature and amount before on-chain settlement. 5
These are useful, unusually specific first-party controls, but they remain vendor documentation rather than an independent security assessment. The fixed 50-source AiToolMap panel produced no eligible exact-product numeric review signal. Independent evidence is limited but not zero: Major Matters lists Bankr x402 Cloud as a live x402 integration, while DATCAP publishes a machine-payable endpoint hosted on Bankr's x402 Cloud, providing an observable real-world implementation rather than only a launch claim. 67
No AiToolMap hands-on testing was performed, and protocol-level x402 risks or evidence about other x402 products were not imputed to Bankr.
Who it's for
x402 Cloud fits developers, AI-agent builders and API providers that want to sell individual machine-consumable requests without building account billing, API-key provisioning and a separate payment processor. It is especially relevant when agent discovery and autonomous payment are part of the distribution model. 1
It is less compelling for conventional SaaS APIs already standardized on subscription billing, workloads needing substantially more than the documented per-service runtime limits, or buyers that require extensive independent reliability benchmarks and mature user-review evidence before production adoption.
Strengths & weaknesses
Strengths
one-command-oriented deployment workflow; built-in payment verification and settlement; agent discovery; transparent percentage pricing with a meaningful free threshold; included compute and logging; custom ERC-20 pricing; documented isolation, authentication and payment controls; evidence of at least one independent live endpoint using the service. 2457
Weaknesses
still-young product; no eligible exact-product numeric user-review evidence in the fixed panel; independent testing is sparse; security and reliability evidence is primarily first-party; runtime limits make it a specialized serverless surface rather than a general cloud platform; value depends on adoption of x402-style machine payments.
